Becoming a Woman of B.O.L.D. Confidence…Who Will You Believe?

Amazing how quickly Fridays roll around these days!  We’re definitely experiencing the “dog days” of summer here in Central Indiana and I couldn’t be happier.  And I’m even more pleased that you’ve decided to tap into today’s blog at NEIGHBORHOOD BOUTIQUES.Believe

We’re committed to providing the very best tools and resources to assist you in growing both personally and professionally and are on the cusp of even more exciting opportunities for that kind of growth.

In the meantime, today’s post isthe sixth in my series on “Becoming a Woman of B.O.L.D. Confidence”.  Now, if you’ve not been following the series, I would suggest you visit our archived posts so you’ll have a bit of background related to the topic.  But, for the moment, allow me to share again the acronym for B.O.L.D.

It stands for Binding Old Lies Daily!

What does mean?  In order to build confidence in yourself, it’s vital that you “put the past behind you”.  And you may have tried that time and time again.  That’s why, in many cases, it may be something you have to daily!

That brings me to my first Confidence Boosting Tip….

  1. Eliminate all negative self-talk!

As long as you’re choosing to listen to those old “tapes” playing over and over in your head about those “lies” you were told, the more challenging it will to believe the real truth about who you are and the amazing person you truly are!

  1. Surround yourself with other women who will lift you up!

That’s one of the main reasons NEIGHBORHOOD BOUTIQUES exists…to be a source of daily encouragement to you, the woman in micro-business!  As you team up with our awesome Community of women who are serious about growing our businesses…and our lives…you will find yourself in such a positive frame of mind and before you know it, you’ll be encouraging other women too.

FEARAnd if you’ve not yet joined our Facebook Community, I encourage you find us there as well at THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

  1. Face your FEARS head on and step out of your comfort zone!

You’ve probably heard the acronym for F.E.A.R. “False Evidence Appearing Real”.   There’s nothing that will squelch confidence more than being fearful about a particular situation, whether it’s an important business presentation you’re preparing for or even picking up that “50 pound phone” when calling a prospect to set a business appointment.

The bottom line…it takes PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!   The more often you face FEAR in the face and tell yourself, “It’s just practice!” – the easier it will be the next time.  Trust me, I know from experience!

  1. Major on the Minors!

What do I mean by that statement?  Start a journal…and begin to write down each accomplishment, no matter how small or insignificant you may think it is…because you are completing tasks and moving forward in reaching your goals.  After doing this daily, at the end of the week, go back in the journal and read what you accomplished.  That exercise will be a huge confidence booster…and give you the desire to reach even higher!

That’s all for this week…more tips next Friday!

Confidently,

Jana
